Spanda
Company

We're building the virtual cell — in the open.

Spanda — स्पंद, the primal pulse — is the living-systems venture of Aitele Research. We're building a whole-cell simulator founded on a single refusal: it may never break the laws of thermodynamics. It is early, it is honest, and every surface says exactly where the science stands.

What we hold to

The honesty is the product

We label what's emergent, what's engineered, and what isn't wired in yet — line by line. A result you can't interrogate isn't a result; it's marketing.

Physics first, biology second

We don't tune the model until it looks alive. We enforce one conservation law and report whatever the chemistry does — growth, homeostasis, or collapse.

Falsifiable or it doesn't ship

Every headline claim comes with the experiment that could kill it. The lactate prediction is ours to lose, and we say so on the front page.

Under research — and we say so

There is no product yet and we won't pretend otherwise. We're raising support to cross the one bridge — the bench — between a strong result and a trusted one.

The long arc

From the pulse to the living cell.

स्पंद
Spanda · the pulse — now

The thermodynamic engine, the cross-organism finding, and a simulator anyone can run. The credibility that has to come before anything is sold.

प्राण
Prāṇa · the breath — next

Wet-lab validation of the lactate prediction, and the detailed-balance audit offered as a service — the first revenue, funding the platform.

जीव
Jīva · the living — then

A licensable, thermodynamically-consistent whole-cell simulator — a virtual cell the field can perturb, query, and actually trust.

The ecosystem

One of the Aitele ventures.

Aitele Research builds research-born ventures: Samādhān turns hard problems into market instruments, Thappa seals creative work on-chain, Siddha grows nature-friendly models, Taranga makes honest silicon, Vyom adjudicates the search for life — and Spanda simulates the cell, by conservation. Different organs, one organism.

Bring a lab, a dataset, or a question.

Research sponsorship, a wet-lab partnership, compute, or a critique of the universality finding — every one of them moves the science forward. Including when the honest answer is “not yet.”
